98 model 295 pro elite stratos with 200 johnson venom question
i have had this motor on the boat i bought for 6 years now and i have never had any work done to it other than servicing it and i fish it alot. anyways it is on a 98 295 pro elite stratos. i have toyed with the jackplate and with different props to the point where it runs about 67-68 now early in the year in cool air. there is absolutly nothing wrong with it but i want to go a little faster. i was wondering if there is anyone around the north mississippi area that could possibly rework it and soup it up to were i could get a little more horses out of it. i know you can port and polish them and bore out the head or get a bigger block but what can i have done to get 220-230 horses out of her. also how much money would i be looking at? any info is good info and appreciated. thanks

Check out this web site

Look at the bass boat and river racer packages. This guy is in Florida; some of the services would require a visit to his place, but some parts could be ordered and installed by you or your mechanic. There is an article on bass and walleye boat magazine's web site under the performance tab where they took a 175 Evinrude Intruder and I believe got 237hp out of it.

I'm with him^^! Monty is one of the best w/ Johnson / Evinrude motors. Crate it up & ship it to him for mods. His place is in Stuart, FL.
