Re: Dead Ficht 200 (tgray41)
I'd try another good battery first....
Re: Dead Ficht 200 (Earl320V)
The boat has got four batteries, all charged, and the other engine is able to crank OK.
Re: Dead Ficht 200 (tgray41)
also make sure the battery connections, are clean and tight. I don't think 12.7 volts is enough juice to start the motor....enough to power your accessories but not the motor.

I have a 2000 Ficht 200 that does nothing when the key is turned. No beep, no lights, no pump, and of course, no start. The key switch is working fine,....</TD></TR></TABLE>
Since you said you played with a NMEA 2000 network, and since the motor is not NMEA2000 compliant, perhaps you either blew the motor fuse in the power distribution panel, or somehow messed up the purple wire circuit from the key switch trying to power up the network.
Re: Dead Ficht 200 (tgray41)
Excellent info Seahorse.
Specifically check the #7 fuse in the power distribution panel after removing cover.
It will be on between the upper and lower relays on the left side of pdp.
After checking that fuse, look for a small black wire connected to a fuse and then the wire leaving the fuse is purple. You will find it in the wire harness just outside the pdp in the upper plug. Make sure that fuse is good.
Verify that engine power and ground are connected to the same battery.
Since you just installed new equipment, it could be that simple.
Re: Dead Ficht 200 (SEAHORSE)
OK, That is a good place to start. One thing, all equipment is MNEA 0183.
Re: Dead Ficht 200 (Sportwin)
Wow, very specific. Thanks a ton.
I am a little confused. Is there a PDP on the engine? I am not familar with what I think you described.
God, I hope IT IS as simple you that!

That is the power distribution panel, just a fancy nickname for the black plastic relay and fuse box on the stb. side. Remove the 2 large chrome screws to access it.
Re: Dead Ficht 200 (SEAHORSE)
SportTwin -
The problem was exactly as you said. The number 7 fuse was blown and after it was replaced, the issue is solves.
Thanks a ton for the info. You saved me a lot of money and time in chasing this down. I really appreciate it.
Thanks also to you guys who gave me pointers. Great forum.
