99' 201 Pro Elite owners question
On the live wells. My fill pumps have the timer circuit on them (manual and timed position) and the recirculating pumps only have on and off. Is that suppose to be correct? I would think it better to have the recirculate on the timer and the fill only as needed on and off. How is yours setup.
Thanks for any replies.
Re: 99' 201 Pro Elite owners question (nmanley)
that is how mine is.I haven't had a dead fish yet.I'll usually leave it on fill - auto while on the water.During the summertime I'll do both the fill -auto and the re-circ.Hope this helps. What prop are you running and what speed are you getting on gps?

Thanks for that info. I ran the recirculate all day and lost the big fish in a tourny but the other fish all survived well. Probably should have keep pumping in water too but was worried about pumping in hotter water. Live and learn on that one. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
I'm running a Power Tech TRO4 25 now as the boat came with a old style Raker 26.
With the Raker it would barely get out of the hole with half fuel and no live wells filled. Only ran 63 max @5300rpm with 6"jackplate set at 3.5" Prop to pad.
Put the PT TRO4 25 on and it lit the boat up great. Both livewells full, 2 guys tackle and 3/4 fuel it's still slow coming up but when configured an mentioned before it's MUCH faster on holeshot and maxed out at 68 @5800. All speeds GPS.
The boat should really have a 250 on it and the stupid 245hp rating needed to be bumped up back when the boat was built as the boat is built damn solid and HEAVY. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: 99' 201 Pro Elite owners question (nmanley)
yep agree on 250.I believe the 250 actual horsepower rating is 248 h.p.My boat also came with a 26 raker and I pulled about the same 63 gps. After that I tried a 27 gade 68 gps 5000 rpms.25 gade bslips way too bad and now i've settled on a 26 trophy at 65 gps but it slips too.how much did that prop set you back?
Re: 99' 201 Pro Elite owners question (bassrippin365)
Bought it off a nice fella here on BBC for $225. My best purchase since getting the boat. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
