trim gauge stuck/not working

06 294 with an Optimax; my trim gauge started acting up a few months ago and not it is totally stuck on high trim. I really don't use it because I trim by "feel" when running, but it just bugs me that something doesn't work correctly on the boat. Got any suggestions for me to troubleshoot?

Use black Tape. That gauges is garbage no matter what boat it is on.I dont of any boat where that thing work. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
