Sparkplugs for 2002 225 FICHT
I have a 2002 Stratros 20 XL with a 225 FICHT Model # F225FPLSN Serial # 4985201. I am running QC12PEP sparkplugs, but as you know they donÂt last long. I noticed that the sparkplug chart lists QC10WEP as optional sparkplugs for my motor. Do they last longer or have any other advantages?

The qc10's are a better plug, but you need to make sure the temps on both banks are coming up to temp. If not then that's whats eating the plugs.

Bassmeister provided great info on best plugs & verifying both banks are reaching proper operating temperature.
You can also replace the original thermostats with E-TEC 200-250 thermostats.
The E-TEC thermostats open at a slightly higher temperature and will raise idle temps a few degrees.
Dissasemble the blow-off valve, remove the rubber seal in the plastic housing and glue the seal in place.
You will be amazed at how much longer the spark plugs will last.
If you feel uncomfortable performing the procedures on your own then take it to a good BRP Certified tech.
