zercom flasher how do you read this thing?
I got a used 2001 javelin r19dc and it has a working zercom flasher in the dash, How do you read this thing.. What do fish look like? Cover structure dropoffs ect.. Its a digital flasher with temp in the middle with a range and sent button on each side. Would like to get more out of this unit other than it looks good at night lite up.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
Thanks

I understand your questions. I have friends who can read flashers better than newer stuff...but not me... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/embarassed.gif I used to be able to read them....a long time ago, but the new stuff has spoiled me. Someone will be along.....

The depth range settings are pretty self explainatory, the sensetivity settings are for shallow and deep water adjustments. Lower for shallower water, and higher for deeper. if its set to high in shallow water you will get echos and a trashy reading on the screen.
Bait fish and bigger fish will show up as blips @ whatever depth their at.
