sweet deal man I just got my 99 201 a few weeks ago. I lucked up on mine kind of the guy I got it from is dieing from lung cancer http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif . I like the boat I am running steady 67-70 with the 200xs
Congrats on your good deal. At least the guy got to sell it and not his widow. That's tough to face.
The previous owner of mine says he gets 72-74 loaded with two anglers and gear @5400 rpm.
Finally got to taking Pics. Went thru the boat completely today and all is working well. Replaced a few screws and tightened up the others. Made a new plate for the trolling motor connector out of Aluminum. Plastic was all broke up.

Thanks Glen. Yes, he got a new life vest today so he and Grandma are going for the maiden voyage tomorrow.

Just for info for used boat hunters. I bought this rig totally expecting to have things to fix so here's the list of things I have addressed/fixed so far;
-Replaced two back mounting screws on trolling motor. So loose they bent.
-Installed two small washers to shim trolling motor arms for excessive play.
-Plastic panel that holds Trolling motor Plug was broken. I made one out of aluminum. Plan to do the rest also.
-Replaced 5 wire connector on boat trailer so lights, turn sig, and back up brake solenoid works.
-Replaced trolling motor rope. (broken)
-Bow panel mounting screws replaced and Lowrance X65 mounted more securely.
Actually that's all that HAD to have attention. Everything else in the boat works.
Plan to;
-replace bunks carpet on trailer.
-Swap to LED tail lights at least and maybe side markers.
-Finish lower unit polishing that previous owner started.
-Replace X-65 up front with 798c currently beside console and add a 898c or 998c to console interlinked. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif
