Motor Kicking in and out.

It don't do it all the time but my stratos 19XL, Yamaha 200HP HPDI 2.6L Sometimes as I am going down the lake. It just miss fires or looses power or something. It feels like when you are going down the lake and you just take your foot off the gas all at once. Almost as if you just killed it. But then it just takes right back off. Never comes off plane. When it does it It seems as if it just looses gas for a second. I have noticed that the gas bulb does not stay firm. Its not pulling flat. But its not stiff etheir
Any help???

Different RPMs the first time I was running around 6000 a day later I was only doing about 5000. Both times it happened the boat run really good all day. Both times it was at the end of the day heading back to the ramp.

Have you checked the vents on the fuel tank to make sure they are open? Bugs will sometimes build nest in the vents

I can check them. I am not sure where the gas vents are?

You may also have a fuel pump going out, if i remember right they have three of them. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

I hope not that engine has less then 100 hours on it. How would I know if it was?
