I am picking up a new 09 294 XLE with a 200 Yamaha HPDI next Saturday. It will be my second Stratos. I bought my first one in 1993 and kept for 5 years. I have had Skeeters since. Trading in a Skeeter on the Stratos. Any info anyone can give me on what to expect with this boat?

I have the same boat. It is a mid 70s boat, and faster if step up right. Handles well and the ride is great. My previous boats were a Procraft and a Skeeter. The Stratos will out perform both in every aspect when compaired to equal size and powered boats.
What set-up are you running? This does not have a jackplate on it. I have not decided if I want to add one or not.
Right now I am running a 6 inch plate at 2.5 inches belowe the pad. I am running a 26 Fury, which is a good all around prop. I think I could turn a 27 and get into the upper 70s. It will 76 with the 26 Fury.
Onemore, how are your vent holes plugged? Do you have any blowout trying to plane?
