The 294 was screaming today! I hit a personal best at 75.2 (GPS). Just me gear and full tank of gas. The Etec likes the cool air! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif

Man you are Strokin now http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Congrats keep at it, theres more in it. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Just curious what prop are you running and does it come out of the hole
Roy, if yer guiding, and I assume its shallow water, a 26 Bravo 1 would be awesome on your boat.
26 Raker II (stock) - With just me and empty live wells it is a HOT ROD out of the hole. Add a partner and fill the live wells it slows down a bit, but still good. I recently raised the engine 1/4" to 2 3/4" below pad and it is a different animal. Much quicker and less chime walk.
If your WP is still good come up some more it will be even easier to drive at speed.
Mine handled like crap @ 3" and with my current setup runs best @ 2".
Awesome #s for a 19' boat!! Congrats... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
wow, that boat will move! Have you tried any other props?
No, I have only ran the Raker II. I would like to try a 27 tempest.
Congrats. That is awesome.
I just turn my best today as well. 74.2 mph. I am sitting at 2 1/2" below pad with a 27T1 prop that has been worked and B&B by Mark. I was at 2" below pad but everyone said to drop it down a little. I have a little more chine walk but manageable. I really did not notice any performance gain though. Previously I was able to do 73.5 mph with livewells full. Also I have 105 lbs. of tackle plus 16 rods and reels and I weight a plump 285 pounds. I may need to lighten my load a little or go on a diet. There is a 8 or 10" jackplate in my future.
That's smokin, I hit 74.4 in my 294/200hpdi a couple weeks ago, but I am just learning to drive it. I am 3" below with a 26 Temp+, but am going to try some different props this spring!
Thats awesome!!
I was running 74s with mine as well. Mine had the opti on it though.
Great running boats for sure http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

Raise that bad boy up a half inch and find a 27T1. 3" is too deep for these boats.
Theres more to be had in your rig if that speed (74) is runnng by yourself.
I need some direction then. I am sitting 2 1/2" below pad with a 27T1 that is worked and can only muster 74.2 trimmed to the max., turning 5850 rpm's. Do I need to lighten the load? Or what do I need to do to go faster?

My best speed was 1/2 fuel, alone with fishing gear. Before spring I've got to get my tach fixed, find me a few props and I'll be ready to run!

Mine actually seems like it runs faster with 3/4-1/2tank of fuel than it does with no gas.
Another thing to add, balance your load when trying to set up these rigs to run as efficiently as possible.

Loose some of your 105 lbs of tackle. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Whats your water psi? A really good prop (or bad) can make or break performance. Some box stock props are good and some are duds and need worked.
Your actually running pretty good with all that tackle.
