Bow Mount Electronics on 2100 - Recess Tray Dimensions

The boat is not with me at the house its staying out of town getting ready to get some carpeting put in. I am getting ready to order a new graph for the front and thinking about just staying with a smaller unit mounted in front of the pedal in the recess tray. Problem is, I dont know the dimensions and what would fit.
Would it be easy enough for someone with a 2100 or maybe a 2200 to measure the width and depth of the tray forward of the pedal. Only measure down to the two little ledges down there not to the very bottom in the channel.
I am thinking about putting a Garmin Echomap Plus 73sv in there. Its 8.75" wide at the base and when the unit is facing upward like it would be in that tray it is about 6" tall.
