I have a 07 275 XL. I was looking at the underside of the hull and noticed that the silicone caulking that goes under the rubrail - where it joins the hull has 2 gaps in it. One on either side of the bow. I don't have a picture of it yet but the caulking starts at the tip of the bow, goes for about a foot on both sides, then the 2 gaps, then caulking resumes all around the boat.
Is this by design?
I think it's more of an aesthetic thing since the top cap and hull are sealed & glassed in some spots, and screwed all the way around. There is silicon behind the rub rail to assist in sealing the seam. If it bothers you, I'd get some clear silicon and fill.
Just get you some clear silicon and fill her in!

Just wanted to make sure it wasn't supposed to be like that because it was the same on both sides.
