javelin 400 auto bilge pump problem

The other day my auto bilge kicked on and did not turn off until i finally disconnected the power to it all together. I even let it run for a bit after I know all the water in my boat had been drained. It does not matter if the power is on on my dash or if the switch for the bilge is in manual or auto. it just keeps running. This is my first boat and I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation so i was j/w if someone could fill me in or has had the same problem. any input is helpful.

I think I'd start with the level switch and work my way out from there . You may have just gotten a piece of debris stuck in it .

yeah, I think it was a piece of debris. I played around with the float and rectangular box and it seemed to fix the problem so i'm guessing that's all it was. thanks boatmech1 http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
