Re: 00 Javelin Renagade 20 (bmck25)
You know what they say. . . size matters!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif The extra hull length will make a difference when in big water. The Renegade 20 is the precursor to the current 200XL (roughly the same lower hull).
Re: 00 Javelin Renagade 20 (Duane Harper)
I primarily fish Lake Erie, I have a 19 foot Javelin, as you probably know, fishing the great lakes can be un-predictable. I can comfortably fish 2-3 footers in my boat but you have to use common sense. My buddy has a 21 foot deep V Trophy, once you get over four footers you are not going to be comfortable unless you are in a yacht. I probably stay dry because I have a F/S model with full windshields. When the BASS Tour was here two years ago with there bigger bass boats, several of them thought they could drive like a maniac in four to six footers, needless to say, several motors broke off the transoms and a few others had to be towed in http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
The 20 will make a difference over your 18 for comfort, but on the big water I do not know if it is worth it! Just my 2 cents...
Re: 00 Javelin Renagade 20 (bmck25)
Good riding boat in rough water. Never had a problem getting wet.
I can get in skinny water with my rig with no problem, in about 1.5 ft.
I have a 225 on my rig, the 200 should see mid to upper 60's.
Have any questions IM me!
Re: 00 Javelin Renagade 20 (javelin225H.O.)
I run a 19' Jav R19 w/ 150. I can run in 1 to 3 ft waves in Lake Michigan and stay dry, my body takes a beating but I stay dry. This boat will also float in a foot of water with out issue.
