18trx vs 19trx
I have a friend looking at both. Right now it's a price point issue. He's wondering how much ride he'll sacrifice in the 18 vs 19. Wondering if they are the same hull just shorter. He knows longer will ride better in chop. How much better is the question. Any info is appreciated
Thanks

I sell a lot of both the 19TRX and 18TRX with 200's. They share a similar running surface. The 19TRX has the huge center storage/rod/tackle system, as the 18TRX has a big storage box. The 18TRX with a 200 runs between 68-70mph, and the 19TRX will run low to mid 60's. Fishing Sturgeon Bay I would go with the 19TRX simply for size, because it is a big 19 footer, closer to 20. Then on the other had the 18TRX is a big 18 footer closer to 19. Both boat run great with a 200, just depends on your needs. Good to see you are still around Jon.

Hey buddy, long time. Ken's in Appleton has a 19trx with a 200 on it. You don't think that is under powered? I know bigger is always better up here in 3 foot rollers. Are the hulls the same design? I thought I heard the 19trx is similar pad wise to the x3 and xs hulls. Can you confirm?
Tell Mark Osborne I say hello when you see him again
Be well buddy

Haven't seen Mark in a long time, last time I saw him he was getting gray like me. I have no problem with the 19TRX with a 200, it runs well. The 18TRX and 19TRX running surface is very similar to the XS series to help support the larger beam and decks. The biggest difference with the 200 vs the 225 is speed. Let your friend know all the different programs we have like the veterans / home town heros, and the ABA program. This applies to any boat with 150hp engine.

Man I really miss the Sturgeon Bay Open. That was a lot of fun.

my buddy and I mopped the smallies up this fall in deep water. pretty consistent 25-28lb bags into November

I currently have a 2017 19trx with a 200hp and love it, hole shot is great and runs 67-68 loaded by myself. My friend has one with the 225 and it runs 68-69 so if you have the extra $2000 go for it but either way they are great boats. Good luck...

I was going to buy a new 18 trx and went with a used 19 trx. Have not had it on the water yet but so far I am pleased with the decision. I came from a 20'er and the 18 was just a little to big of a jump for me to be comfortable with. I fish bago a lot and do plan on hitting the bay a few times.

I went from a 18 to a 19... The 19 hands down better ride. I can't compare speed. The 18 had a 150 4s and this one has a 225 TM
