best way to mount hummingbird 997 on Stratos 201proxl (2005)

Does anyone have suggestions on how to best mount a 997 on a 05 stratos. Pics would be awesome.... I want it at the console.

Use a RAM mount just to the right of the console.

that is what I have been thinking too..... I got the big ram mount. But I have had such good luck fishing for ideas on here, I figured I should ask around before I start drilling away.

Mine is mounted just on the other side of the dash shroud towards the bow, between the console and side. Works fine.

are you on the fiberglass or on the shroud itself???

On the glass. Actually mine has the rubber non-skid material right there and the RAM ball is mounted on top of it. It wouldn't last mounted to the shroud.

thanks, the problem is the stratos does not have a solid shroud and no flat surfaces to mount the ram plate. I have previously mounted a ram mount for my old LCX 20c on the gunnel. I just ordered a swing away ram mount on ebay and am going to try that. I will post a pic if it works out and looks good.
