I am the happy owner of a 95 javelin 377 with an Evinrude 150. What prop should it have on it to provide the best top end without losing the holeshot---which it kinda lacks now without weight in the front. Boat is completely factory with no jackplate. Top speed now is around 62(speedo) before it starts chine walking which I have read is more my error than the boats. Any suggestions---great board by the way
23 tempest or a 24 raker.

Chine walking can have as much or more to do with setup than driver. If you are running the wrong prop at the wrong height, you will never be able to control it totally.
Do you have a jackplate? To get the best setup and best overall performance, you'll need a 6" jackplate. Throw either of the props Mike mentioned on it (I liked the 24 Raker on mine) and set your propshaft at 3 1/2" below the pad. You'll like the results. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
