Have a buddy with a 21 ss extreme 225 Evinrude. It has a slidemaster manual jack plate and we are trying to raise the motor but the center adjustment bolt is froze in the plate. We have tried spraying blaster to loosen up but have had no luck. We have also double nutted the bottom of the adjustment rod and pulled on it pretty good but are worried we will brake the adjustment bolt.

PLEASE don't take this as a sarcastic post, but some don't know how the slidemaster operates. Have you loosened all four bolts on the sides (two on each side)?
i have a 21 ss extreme with the same jack plate and yea u gotta loosen the side bolts but i had a problem with corosion between the stainless bolts and the aluminum plates i had to get a hot tourch just to move them so i just got new bolts but this was on the side plates! good luck i hope this helps! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
when and if you get the adjusting screw loosened and freely moving apply a small amount of "never sieze" to the screw and cycle it up and down to work it in in the normal adjusting range--a very light film will do. it should not corrode up again. I would not put on side bolts it's nasty stuff andcan ruin clothes and such.

all side bolts are loose. Seems to be froze up where the main center bolt threads in to the jack plate.
definatly a good idea on the anti-seez. If we ever get it loose I will make sure and put a light coat on the bolt to keep this from happening again.
