Help, Mounting Shoot-Thru Transducer
Guys,
I just purchased a X-25c to replace my in-dash x-47. I noticed that the transducer is epoxied in the bilge area and I would prefer to mount my skimmer xducer for the x-25 there also. My question is, after reading the installation guide Lowrance mentions some but not all boat manufacturers sandwich some floatation material between the inner and outer hull. How do I know if my boat has that(2002 Javelin 185)? Just so you know the x47 xducers was just epoxied to the floor. The last thing I want to do is get a sub-par reading from it.
Thanks,
Eric

Thanks Todd! I appreciate it.
Re: Help, Mounting Shoot-Thru Transducer (edowell)
The transducer in my 2000 Javelin is loose in the bilge, for what ever reason it came loose from the glue spot there.
Can I RTV it in place, or epoxy, or ????

NO RTV!!! Just use a slow cure epoxy and put it back where it was...
Re: Help, Mounting Shoot-Thru Transducer (201pro)
I have always used 5 minute epoxy! But definetly no RTV!
