90 or 99?? The carbed 150's are usually very good engines. If it checks out, runs good and the price is right get it.
I think the 60 degree 150's are better motors.

Are you using the same logic as you used describing how the NKG's plugs are better than Champion spark plugs? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Just wondering.

Regards,
Not sure how much Johnson and Evinrude differ that year but I have a 1990 Johnson 150 and it is a very reliable ( but is still carbs , Not as smooth and starting procedures are not forgiving ) as efi but also very simple to work on and maintain--- keep carbs clean and decarb once a year and mine has never let me down! My engine hangs on a 1990 Stratos 275 Pro XL full tanks -- fishing gear -- 2 anchors pulls to 60 Mph (GPS) @ 5800 rpm 13 1/2 - 24 renegade
Sorry--Red Dog---Mistake on previous---13-1/2 --23 renegade and 5900 RPM---just had it out hit 61mph with above -- better in cold summer may be 2 mph lower?? Still Great motor for me -- Could be faster but ive never owned anything that couldnt be!!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
