05' 201 Pro w/05' 250xs what prop to run?

I've got a 05' 201 w/a 250xs 6" slidemaster 27 temp top speed 78.8 gps @ 5800. Need 250-300 more rpm's prop has not been worked. Any suggestion's?

I have the same combo and I run a 26 and 27 Tempest plus depending on the weight. You can probably run a 28 if you are really light, but for every day use it is way too much. I find that the 26 Tempest Plus works well with every day loads.

Only way to gain rpm is to drop pitch or gain horsepower... Just wait until the fall when this heat wave is gone and you will probably be up against the limiter...If you are running that fast in this heat, then I would not do anything with the prop...You are getting 7% slip right now...Everyone is down 250-300 rpm's with this heat and humidity, it will come back with a little cooler weather...
