Is there a breaked for the trolling motor anywhere?? Help please asap!!!

Kickin around today on the lake and wanted to cross to another point. Threw my 80 Motorguide tour digital on high bypass and was cruising along when snap and it dies. I have torn the boat apart looking for a reset for the trolling motor no avail. I have no test light to see if I have power to the plug.
Boat is a 97 Javelin 409TDC seems the wires run straight from the battery to the front and I didnt realize there was no breaker.
Is there a breaker on the motor somewhere that I cannot see? My pedal is the metal style and I see nothing that is a reset or fuse. Im thinking I am a moron and fried my motor because there was no fuse or breaker between he battery and the motor http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
Any help is appreciated as I will have to decide what to do asap so I have a motor for my tourney on friday!

There should be a resetable breaker near the batteries.... If there isn't i would add one... looks like a 3 inch square black box with two cable connections...
Might look something like this..

Or this..

... follow your cables from both batteries...shouldn't be too far from eihter.. hope this helps...

Ok so I have done some testing and I have juice to the 12volt side of my plug but none to the 24 volt part??
Motor will run on the 12 volt side eventhough its a 24 volt motor just has no power...
Still cannot locate any breaker or reset???
Its a marinco plug is it possible the female plug end is dead??? Im kinda lost here http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/sick.gif

Do you have the little square breakers that attach directly to the battery? Sounds like you could have tripped one of the two. On my 275 they are just attached between the TM cables and the battery itself. When they trip a little tag pops out the back of them. Push in the tag and off you go! If you need a pic let me know.

Do you have three wires running from your battery area to the TM plug? I would check all your connections for corrosion and if you can, check continuity.

This is what Scott is refering to... usually on top of battery or inline ...has small button on side that pops out when tripped...

I know where you're fishing on Sunday. You won't need a trolling motor, just bring a rope with a D clip. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif
Bring your boat over tonight or tomorrow when you bring that prop. We'll get it figured out.

Check your male side of the plug there is a jumper in there that gets you from 12 volt to 24 volt that could be the problem.
Re: Is there a breaked for the trolling motor anywhe ... (fishermanvs)
I would bet your male end plug is bad. The same thing happened to mine. It is very difficult to see, but on the end of the plug, you should see little silver lines that look like a circuit board soldered lines. One of mine melted and broke the circuit. Just replace the plug (and keep a spare in the boat)
I am assuming that you have the twist lock type end.

Or just wire it for 24 volt only. Who the heck uses the 12 volt side anyways?
