Help with new fish finder on my stratos
I just purchased a 93 275xl pro. The guy had an Eagle supra pro that was mounted on the side of the drivers cockpit on the shell. well, its broken and i want to replace. the problem is, i can't find this fish finder anymore and need to get a new one. The new styles don't have the proper connections and i would have to run a new transducer.
is there anyone that can tell me how to run the new transducer and power lines and where to mount the transducer? i am not even sure how i would get the wires back there. Can anyone tell me best practices or give me a hint as how to start?

For the power, it's probably connected up under the dash somewhere. Just follow your current power cable and see where it's connected. You can connect a new one in the same place. Just make sure that it has a fuse inline with the positive lead.
For the transducer, tie a small rope/string to the existing transducer cable and pull it out to the back of the boat, where the transducer is mounted. This will give you something to pull the new transducer cable up to the console. Just be sure you decide on a mounting location for the new transducer before running the cable. Most folks mount the transducer in the hull - in the bilge area in the boat. This will protect it from hitting obstacles in the water.

I use an electricians fish tape to pull my wires. Helps to wrap the plug with electrical tape so it is like a cone shape. Pulls easier that way.

Just want to add that you should pull in an extra string at the same time. You never know when you will need to pull something else through the same place.
