Mine takes three or four Mississippi's if I am in a hurry. Longer if I have the family with me.
depending on your load and such a good point is for breakover nose coming down and start trim up 3500 rpms on a 201 with a 200 venom with a 25 tempest prop with small plugs. now larger holes will take longer as more air around the prop will not allow bite hense longer time in the air. my 24 raker ( without adjustable holes) takes about 3800 rpms to break over. Load full gas, my big butt, decent tackle livewells with about 1/4 filled.
lkhartwl,
What does that translate to in Mississippi's?
funny, cant spell misissippi and never did it that way, always went by the rpms like a good student of the championMan does, and also if your livewells are full in some boats it takes forever you could probably recite hamlets speach before she dropped over http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
If you have a five second hole shot that is pretty good, a four or three is excellent time. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
If think it takes a while when your livewells are full, try counting Mississippi's when you forgot to put the plug in. When my hole shot is taking to long it is usually an instant reminder to put the boat back on the trailer and insert the plug. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
