Fuel Gauge Stopped Working

295 Stratos 2004, fuel gauge stopped working? What to look for?

only a couple of reasons , 1) gauge went bad 2) sending unit is bad, 3) wire came loose from either sending unit or gauge. 4) NO GAS http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/devil.gif

Check the sending unit with a meter, if it checks out then its the gauge. Mine was the gauge, probally a good thing due to the cost and labor of changing a sending unit. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

Is the gauge hard to change? Another words do you have to stand on your head to do?

depemding on boat and set up of dash you may be able to just unscrew the dash to access it .
