I have a 93 254 w/ 70 Evinrude, runs about 40 on the speedo. I've had the boat since 1995 and it's all stock original.
Do you have a pic of the boat?
No unfortunately I don't have a digital camera, or internet access at home right now only at work.
My 92 is also stock. I did add an on board battery charger. I had it loaded to fish and 2 on board..got to 42 on the speedo.
Not exactally a speedster, but I have no need to go any faster really. My son can run it as fast as he likes, and it must use a lot less gas than the big motors.
Do your livewells only recirc lake water?
I don't know if mine recirculates or not. I just close the livewell drain, fill up the livewell, and then put the aerator on auto.
What happens when you switch the aerator to auto? I am not sure mine does anything. What should happen?
witht he aerator on auto it will run in cycles set by the timer.
Thanks for the info on your 93 254. My livewells do the same thing by bringing in water and discharging it constantly.
I would like to know more about a timer. It is not necessary to run this pump all day long while fishing. I fish up front and only use the rear livewell,so I am back and forth turning it on and off.
My boat doesn not have a factory depth finder. I use the fishfinder on the bow.
I have the 70 Evinrude and it has not had any problems. Hoefully it will not blow up on me. I found this 92 from a freind of a freind. He kept it covered in has garage, and it is in near mint condition. He even painted the floor in his garage to keep the dust down. I have a great 16' boat that runs and looks like new at a cost of $ 4,500 including the original factory trailer.
I cant figure out how to attach a pic on the boat to this post.
Hey Brad,
Where is the timer?
my timer is on the panel at the front of the boat, the same panel has the TM outlet, livewell timer switch, trim switch, and something else up there for the live well maybe an manual/auto switch up there too
I have a trim switch and the front livewell switch at the bow on the TM panel. I do not have a timer. That sucks.
yeah, checked mine last night. The front panel has the front livewell auto/man switch, rear livewell auto/man switch, livewell timer that controls both livewells, and the trim switch all mounted on the same panel as the TM outlet.
My 02 trailer is painted and is showing some light rust on some edges. Overall it looks OK.
I own a powder coating business, so I am going to strip mine down in a year or 2 and powder coat it. There are so many special effects, candy colors, and metallics that look like the gel coat on my boat.
Anything less than powder coating is crap to me.
If the trailer was stripped down ready to be powder coated in a metallic color or a solid color it would be close to $350-400.
It will last a lifetime with no special care like waxing. I can get factory decals, and have graphics custom made for it also.
Brad, do you by any chance have the owners manual for the boat/hull? Also if you have a picture of the driver's cockpit gauges. Mine is a 90 275XL and some of the gauges are missing. Woudl like to know whjat goes in there. Thanks. Ditto with the gauges up front.
