I guess this would be for the dealers or the experts. What is the difference in speeds for 201's with the 225 Etec and the 201's with merc or yami 250's? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif

In who's favor? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif E-TEC I presume!
I think the 250's are a little faster
An E-TEC 225 H.O. will be within a mph or so of the Yamaha. The 250XS from Merc is very strong and will be a couple mph faster.
Well what is it, Etec HO 225, looking like against the 225XS? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/glasses.gif
On a heavier boat, such as a 201, the E-TEC will actually have a very slight edge over the 225 ProXS. If you put them on a light hull and put a Sportmaster lower unit on the 225 ProXS, it'll win hands down.
I agree with Blazer , if you are gonna put a new engine on a stratos go with the e-tec or with a plain efi . the pro's are racing engines and basically made for either lighter boats or ones with a design that stratos is not ( gambler is one that comes to mind) tho even people with gamblers are no shying away from the racing and going to more stout motors with longer warrenties.
