I just purchased a 1997 Skeeter ZX185C in mint condition. Unbelievable seats, carpet, and topcap gelcoat. I've been out once for 3 hrs and it seems like it is a fishing machine with lots of storage and huge front deck. The seller still had all manuals and the 1997 Skeeter brochure! Hopefully, I have good luck with the boat and Yamaha engine. If I figure out how to post pics, I'll do it.

i have the exact boat 97 zx185c and i cant say anything about it it was my fathers and he bought it new in 97 and i have just recently restored it all back to brand new specs almost, and i wouldnt sell it for brand new one i love it and rides good plenty of space

I'm going Saturday to pick up my 1999 zx185. This will be my first bass boat and a huge upgrade from the 14 ft Jon boat I just got rid of. I can't wait!

Hey guys I've been thinking about selling my ZX 185 (2000) to buy a new 20 ft ZX. How much did you guys pay for your boats or how much are you guys seeing them for? I'd guess around $10k but I may be off.

I too just purchased a 1997 ZX185C, haven't been on the water yet as I am re-powering it with a 1990 Mercury 150 until I can get my new yamaha 175 next year.. I love this boat. any of you other owners I have a question for.
Does your trailer have two bow rollers that pivot?

I have been fishing out of mine for 13 years now, and it still runs like a top and cashes checks.......Your going to love it.
Make sure you rinse it off and wax it up after everyouting and it will remain like new.
The Zx185 and the ZX190 (newer model same boat) are a awesome platform.
You will love the boat!!! I have a 97 ZX185 with a 99 Yamaha VMAX 175. Love the boat!! Has been paid off for YEARS, that may be the best part. Boat performs awesome and runs like a top.
I am excited for you, I still remember getting rid of my previous 1994 18.5 skeeter because my twin brother got his 97 red/white/black skeeter. Just a about crapped in my mess kit the first time I saw his! With twins it is sort of a "monkey see monkey do" situation so I bought one like his a year later. Keep good care of it and enjoy it!!
Bassman, your Skeeter colors are almost identical to mine. Instead of green seats, mine are brown but polyflake and striping is very close. Nice rig!

One thing for sure .............. with all you guys with '97 ZX 185's ........ I'm starting to think that's the only boat Skeeter made that year. :laugh:
