Anyone ever get their fuel gauge calibrated right ??
I don't know about y'all but it makes me sick with the fuel gauge / sender on these boats. I know a big part of the problem is the design and shape of the tank. I'm sure that of the 25 gallon capacity of the tank the top "pyramid" is only about 8 gallons and the remaining 17 is in the bottom 5" of the tank base.
I'd read somewhere there's a sending unit that can be calibrated at certain heights to read correctly.
Has anyone addressed this or been able to get it working more accurately ??

Subscribed. I'd love to fix this.

I don't think my tank has a float or a sending unit.
Pretty sure my fuel gauge is linked directly to the throttle cable.

bothers me to. spend 40k on a boat and i cant even tell how much fuel is in the tank after half a day

My sending units have been replaced 3x and they still dont work. If I run really, really low on fuel and fill the tanks up, they will temporarily work but that's it. If yours are working even the least bit, they are better than the ones I have had.
