Water still in livewell even in recirc

I have a minor issue with my zx180 I can't keep water out of the livewells. In my SX170 if I had the selector in the recirc position my livewells always stayed dry an d I could use them for storage. Since I am catch and release only anymore it worked well for extra storage. On the ZX180 I put the selector in the recirc position and I get some water in the livewells everytime out. These livewells don't have a standard hole that I can just plug.......that would be far too easy. I am assuming that big hole with the round plastic screen in the center is for the livewells so I can't plug that either correct?

AS long as the livewells are in the closed position & no pumps are turned on, they should stay dry. If you are then still getting water you have a bad open/closed valve.

could be a bad valve or when you back up water can come in through the overflow

I guess I will have to figure out if the water is coming from the bottom or the top of the well before the next step. Thanks for giving me something to check.
