SX170

Hi all,
I'm new to these boards, located in Australia and about to buy a skeeter.
I'm hoping to hear from owners of the Sx170.
I'm considering this boat for it's size and performance.
Out here the skeeter importer has a preference for etec engines.
I'm a little unconvinced about the etec and i'd like to get some feedback from people operating this configuration as well as optimax and the yamaha 115hp two stroke. As a 115 hp engine is what i'll be fitting any feedback would be appreciated.
Also how do you rate the performance of this hull. I know this is not a big water boat and i'm not expecting it to be. Our lakes are much smaller than yours so big runs are not really an issue.
Has anyone been able to fit rod racks into the locker and if so can you post some pics of the setup please?

I am currently in a sx180 with the 115 two stroke and looking to upgrade to the zx 190 or 200. the sx180 hanles and fishes very well and the 115 pushes the boat up to 42 mph with only 1 person in it. i will get 37-38 mph with a load and 2 people. i am upgrading to get a larger boat with more room and a faster motor to cover more water in less time. for a small lake the 170 should doo you a good job
