your water pressure seems a little low for me i have the same set up only a 21 I and the only time i ever see below 20psi with the yamahas(im on my second 250 hpdi) is when the motor has some junk clogging them a little sand or mud got sucked up some where. i think the speeds your showing are about normal for that boat 74 at 5600 is actually pretty good my 21 I runs 74-75 depending on the day but thats at 5900 with a mark b&b 25 t-1 before that it ran 73 but that is with 2 people tournment ready if im by myself im at around 76 but my water pressure is always around 25 and my plate is pretty high

As the water temp rises, the water pressure drops. Water up in IL probably doesnt get near as warm as MS. In the winter my gauge is pegged at 30 PSI, Low 80s water I see about 18 PSI. Upper 80s its about 15 PSI.
