Attention Skeeter Guys Running Hydraulic Jack-Plates!!!

Question: I just got my Detwiler 8" Jack plate with the 4" extenders. Problem is - the 8" plate actually measures 7.25". This means I will give up .75" of set back to the factory plate of 12". Are any of you guys running a similar set-up and if so have you noticed a performance difference by losing .75"? Incidentally I am currently running 14" of set back. When I put these 2" spacers in I did not notice any top end difference - but my holeshot was slightly better.
