I have the exact same boat (Dual console). I can run 62-63 GPS and that's all she'll give with my current setup. However she runs as strong today as the day she was new. Never have had any problems at all, gas, oil, ring free, plugs http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif and go.
yep same boat here as well, (single console) get 60-62 gps with full gear, on cool days, lots of humidity it drops the top end some, but does get up fast...
seen 63 with mine and a good load and a lot of fuel in the winter. will run 59-60 when its hot out and 2 people.
I doesn't by chance have the 150VMAX TRP does it?
62 GPS most any time. More when it's cool out and on long runs.
it takes an r model ranger with a 175 to keep up with ya!!!!!!
62-63 is about right for the Post 1997 models, the Pre-1998 models with the PRO-V motor were 2-3mph faster. The boats were lighter but most importantly the Pre 98' motors were before HP restictions and emissions. Mine ran a best of 67.2 mph (GPS) with a blueprinted 25P A40 Tempest @ 6,100 rpms. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
My last boat was a 1997 ZX185c with the 150 ProV and I could run 65 GPS loaded by myself. Great boat and motor as well. Ran just as strong when I sold it as the day when I bought it.
My Twin brother had a 150 Pro V before he put a 1999 V Max 175 on his 1997 Zx185c hull.
The 150 flat out hauled!!!!! 65mph was not uncommon for that motor. it was bullet proof as well. ran like a clock.
The newer 150 Vmax do not have the same performance. They still run like a clock, but 61-62 will be more common.
Mine is a 2000 dual console with a stock prop. All I can say is it is one great boat. 59-60 GPS loaded. I have not had any problems with the boat or the engine.

Hey mnbassman what do you mean he "had" that 1997? I hope he did not sell it since last spring because I IM'd him (or the new owner) and tried to buy that red/white boat. Prettiest ZX185c I have ever seen, well except for the one I sold http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Hey Bucknbass525,
No the red and white rig is mine http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
My twin still has his but upgraded to a 1999 175 instead of the 150 he had on the back.

He just wanted more power.
You are on the top of my list if I ever get rid of mine http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Thanks on the complement........I try my best to keep it clean. I can't fish as well if it is dirty.
From what I read its one of the fastest hulls they made...b and b your prop and enjoy!!
What prop was on your Skeeter 150
