Trim up/down speed...is there a setting for this?
I've noticed on a few videos and other skeeters 1st hand that their trim up/down speeds seem to be faster than mine when they move into a shallow area. Is there a setting for this? or just the type of trim motor you have? My tilt speed seems to be the same though...

When your motor gets to a certain height it should trim up faster. Obviously not when you're moving.

I know...I'm just saying at idle or when in no wake zones, other Skeeters I've seen seem to have quicker trim speeds.

Mercs seem to be faster than Yamaha's.
Most of the Yamy's I've had are all about the same. Slow slow until you hit the "trailer trim" stage and then fast.
Evinrude should be the same speed as Yamaha.
I've actually got an evinrude pump/motor/whole trim unit assembly on my V-max.
Mine went out and I started shopping around and comparing units and prices for used ones on ebay. From pictures, it was just odd that some of the evinrude units looked just like the yamaha units. And, as luck would have it....they were the same.
The difference was the price. (supply and demand I guess). I'd find 50 evinrude tilt trim assemblies for every One Yamaha. Evinrudes were 1/4th the price, and turns out...same thing.

My 2003 150 Vmax had some OMC tubing in it.

I think there may be a few stars and stripes speckled on my windshields. Had a Blazer with a Rude pass me the other day and I don't see how those decals could have stayed on his cowling....
