Re: 2003 ZX225 Need help (reubanks)
There is an issue with 01-06 dash panels dieing. Skeeter was replacing them under warranty, but I believe they have stopped if your boat is out of the warranty period.
Do a search on "Dash power" and you may find what you need.
It is not a cheap fix either. The best place to start would be a dealer.

and if ur the 2nd owner forget it they will not fix it anyways
maybe cheaper to go back to the old knobs, with a dash out of a 2000 or something

They fixed it for me a few months back and I am the second owner of a 2004 ZX225. I called Darby and he took care of everything even with contacting the local dealer. This is what kinda makes me go hmmmmm regarding Skeeter customer service and warranty. They are very hit and miss.
I was told by the dealer that they are sending the pads back to the original manufacturer for a refund, but who knows if that is true or not. Jason Hale may know more or be able to ask one of the techs.
If it were me I would call Darby back and see if they will warranty it.
Re: 2003 ZX225 Need help (reubanks)
I had the same problem this summer with my 2003 ZX225. It is very frustrating. I talked to skeeter and they sent me a new control panel for free. I am the second owner of the boat so the only thing I had to do was pay $200 to change the waranty into my name. My Dad and I installed it ourselves but I would suggest to pay the money to have a Skeeter dealer install it for you. There are no instructions with it and it took us a long time to get it to work. There is also some cutting and drilling that you will need to do in your dash to make the new panel fit. We have had no problems with the new pannel but there are some wires that we have no idea what they do. If you end up installing one yourself I can try to answer any questions you have.
