New axle arrived - painting / vault system or bearing buddies?

First a shoutout to Dexter Axle (Dennis aka dabs and Bill) for incredible service! I ordered my new axle last Thursday and it showed up at my door today, that's amazing!

Few questions:
1. I would like to paint the axle black so it matches the rest of my trailer; I'm not sure what they used on the trailer to begin with it almost seems like bedliner or something similar, any recommendations?
2. The new axle comes vault system ready I'll call it.... my old axles originally had the oil bath system (2008 Triton 20x2 boat / tandem axle trailer) and it was converted to use Kodiak rotors, grease and bearing buddies. I'm wondering if I should go ahead with a vault system install on this new axle (thus mis-matching my axles) or just forget the vault system and use grease / bearing buddies?

I got the same boat. Just had the valve stems upgraded to metal to run my TPMS. While the tire shop had the wheels off I took a close look at the hubs etc. Seals etc had no leaks. Had them check the bearings when they put the tires back on and there was no wheel wobble. Other than checking for wheel wobble and visual seal leak once a year, that is all the maintenance I have done.

OK, thanks guys, I went ahead and ordered the vault system parts which I have to say is by far the most annoying purchase experience I've had on the internet in quite some time. Pacific Trailer didn't have the caps but they have the bra's for the caps and overcharge on shipping big time, then trailer parts depot didn't have the bras but had the caps (and also overcharge on shipping); no one seems to have the "installation tool" but I'm hoping that's just a PVC piece from Lowes that I can pickup.

Really wish eTrailer.com sold the parts but they do not. I've been in online retail for more than the last decade and can't believe how poor of a customer experience these trailer parts stores provide in 2017.

Not sure but I don think Vaults have Bras.? Just contact DABS on here. He is the Vault Man.

No bra needed.... The installation tool is a 2" x 1.5" PVC bushing that you can find in any plumbing dept.

I'm building a trailer and just got my axles couple weeks ago. I went with the vault system heard nothing but good things about them.
