Can't wait for that follow up post! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
cool, I like everyone else is interested in hearing what the 4 stroke numbers look like
We've got one we're running as a demo. We've had it about 2 weeks now. Seeing about 68 on top end, but it's turning the 27T-1 at 6100 rpms. It may turn a 29. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif
The guy running it says it takes a split second to spool up at launch but it launches hard and mid range acceleration is mind boggling. I'm thinking it's the shape of things to come.
He's still in break in mode, so he hasn't been able to run it hard for very long.
We've also received a few other F225 sports, but they're on fish-n-skis! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif
Jason, cant wait to see your new ride , an if Coy an Dewane can do wonders on the 4-stroke like they do on the two's, wouldnt supprise me if it dont run like its on nitrus. An while Im posting thanks again for all you an the guys do for us fishermen ! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif
We wont believe you til you post pics http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
I'd like to see one running next to a 2 stroke HPDI for comparison, what's the weight difference between them?
According to Yamaha there is only 45 lbs. difference in the engines. According to Skeeter, there is only 2 MPH difference in the 2 as well, but time will tell on that one.
Jason,
Are the rumors true that in a couple years, 2 strokes will be a thing of the past? I have a 115 4 stroke and love it.
No, they will not be a thing of the fast. They are doing well in the EPA requirements. There will be however more, "High Performance" Four Strokes in the near future.
Here is a pic. Not the best as it is raining here. Will post numbers if I get it broken in this weekend.

looks strange with that big ol 4 stroke on it...
You should see it in person, especially from the back. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif
Looks pretty good to me. Love the 4 stroke
Put a big #3 and Goodwrench decals on it.
Looks good.
Like KD said, the mid range is mind boggling. I only have 3 hours on it and only opened it up once for a minute. I didn't let it wind out all the way, but it ran 68.9 @ 6100 with the 27 T1. I put a 28 TXP on it to run later today hopefully. I will update as I can. It seems to be great on gas as well. I ran 3 hours on one half tank. The other one is still full.
nice vessel !!! congrats!!!
Nice looking rig! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif
Any updates on the number???
Been raining and snowing last 2 days and I haven't run it any more. I guess you could say I'm a --------, cus it's a little cold http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/cold1.gif @ 29 to run for me.
