(Newbie) Proud first time boat owner 1999 SKeeter sx186
I just bought my first boat 18.5ft, single consule ,Yamaha 130HP.
The guy I bought the boat from said that on the cold morning starts I have to remove the cawling spray starter fluid to the intake to get it started. After morning start should not have to spray through out the day.?? Just wondering If any one has had this problem maybe could advise.
Other than this the boat feels real good
I use my gps and she reads 47MPH don't know if this is fast ?
I know this - it's faster than my float tube http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Any help is appreciated
Almost forgot I've got a Minn Koda max pro 80
Wanted to check if anyone has placed one of those eronomical foot thingys
(cut their boat) their website shows a sx190 but not an sx186 ??

Congrats on the new boat! As far as the starting fluid on cold mornings goes, I'd just try and start it with the key choke and a little fast idle, if that doesnt work then pull out the manual choke thats located at the front of the motor and again give it a little bit of fast idle. It should start then, thats a pretty common thing with the carbed Yammies. And once you've gotten it to fire up you shouldnt even have to choke it again the rest of the day.
