I currently run two Lowrance HDS touch units. A 9 at the bow and a 12 at the console. I'd like to add a second Garmin unit at the bow to utilize the Panoptix. What unit and transducer setups would you guys suggest?

That kind of stuff gets a bit complicated. Just guessing I suspect you have some kind of 2d transducer glued in for depth at speed running 83 kHz. Then you are probably also utilizing LSS side and down on 455 kHz. Then a 200/83 on the trolling motor set to 200 kHz. I'd get a echoMAP CHIRP 93sv and PS21. It will come with the GT/CV 52 which you may or may not use. Check with the board sponsors. They have some real deals on this right now.

Go with the largest compatible unit you can. I've got mine on a 73 but a 93 would be better.

Ring fry is correct....only reason size of screen...
If you can fit a 9" get the 93sv chirp as said and a PS21. The 93sv chirp are $750 now if you look around.
I am in a similar situation, wanted the panoptix up front so I picked up a 93sv chirp with the PS-21 for the front. I am moving my HDS 9 to the console to have dual 9's and taking the HDS 7 off the console. Not sure if I am going to just leave the 7 off or put it up front yet.
If you already have it,I would put upfront for mapping and waypoints
