Adding Helix 7 to Skeeter ZX250 (Transom Mount)

Good evening, guys....and Merry Christmas.

I've decided to add a Helix 7 beside my current HDS 9. I have purchased everything I need for mounting, but as this is my first installation project on this boat, I'm a bit hesitant to undertake it myself. Really, there are two areas that have me scratching my head and looking for answers.

First, what is the best way to get power to the Helix? Can I simply splice into the HDS power supply or do I need to run it independently? If so, how?

Second, what is the best way to get the transducer wire through the hull and to the unit? I know this is probably a novice question, but I'm unfamiliar with how to do it on this boat. I did it on my Tracker about two years ago, but it was much easier to remove the side rails on the back deck and snake it through. In the Skeeter, I'm just not sure what will be the easiest way to do it.
