Lowrance Problem - new SX190

I have two X50 DS Lowrance's. When I shut the main power switch off on the console which shut off both fishfinders and then turned the power switch back on, I hit the power buttons on the FF's andd the dash mounted one won't come back on. The bow mount is working. Is there a 3 amp in line fuse on these as the book recommends or are they wired right to the fuse box? Are the 2 FF's wired on different fuses? I'm going to call Skeeter to see if they can solve it, but thought I'd ask here on the boarrd. The dealer (100 miles away) says I need to find the power lead from the bad FF and check it. Because these are the standard FF's that come with the boat, they should all be set up the same from the factory. Thanks Big Al

They should each have their own fuse. Are you able to swap them? I know it's not easy taking the one in the console out but if you can, then you can eliminate the thought of it maybe being dead....you'll be able to check the fuse at the same time.

I have the same boat with X47's. I want to say that they are wired to the fuse block and not with a in-line fuse. There could be several things, check to make sure the plug didn't come loose, finder could be bad. Like BJ said you could take it out and check with the other plug up front and see if it comes on. I think that would be your easier option first. Double check yours before, but mine were being held in the dash and bow panel with double sided tape and not there standard flush mount kit. Then go from there. If it's the FF, not sure what you will do, but i had problems with mine and instead of going to the dealer, i called lowrance direct and all they asked was for a bill of sale to verify that i bought the boat new to cover the warranty. Had a new FF in 1 1/2 wks, That's including my shipping.

Look under the dash, there should be an inline fuse coming off the FF!
