need input for motor height vmax150. speed. psi . rpm. using yam 25m,
Start out with propshaft 3" below pad. You can fine tune it from there by going up 1/2" or 1/4" at a time. Minimum water pressure 12psi at WOT. I like the rpms about 5800 @ WOT but you will never get there with a 25m unless you have the pitch reduced some.
2-3/4 inches below pad. 5900 RPMs 20 PSI 61 MPH... Yamaha 23M. the 25 was too much prop for me to turn. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
I have the same boat. Bass Junkie is right start at 3 inches below. I ran mine 2 7/8 below at 54-5500 rpm. Got my prop worked by mark and was able to jack it up to 2 1/2 below and now run 56-5700 rpm. Run 61-61.5 full gas tourney load and two people. Mark did a great job, I think I would be doing better but dinged my newly worked prop the second time I had it out. Probably will send back to mark when the spring tourneys slow down.
Running the "M" prop I would think you will be approx. 1 3/4" below the pad turning 5800R's and 62-64MPH light. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif Also, Mark does wonders with the M props. I had him B & B one for me-I sold it to BassJunkie and I believe it is his fastest prop to date. He runs a TZX190 @ 68mph and change with a 175 Yam.
thanks for all the attention. will put this advice to test , will post when i fine tune
im getting 6,000 rpm's from mine with a 25m 3 inches below pad 150 yamaha
I to just recently bought a tzx190 with 150hpdi 23p tempest my tach is showing 6100-6200 WOT @ 61mph (GPS). I had it hooked up to computer and it had never registered over 6k (tach off). I am now raising my motor to 3 in below pad to give it a try. Let me know how you setup turns out.
