Does the ZX190 have a 175, or just the 150 (HPDI, or carbed)?
Is the SX200 rigged with 200 (Vmax 3.3 liter HPDI), or 2.6 HPDI?
Compairable electronics, and other options. (Both have trailer brakes, etc. It's optional on the ZX190).
Just keep in mind that the SX200 comes w/o a jackplate from the factory. If you install one on the SX200, you will void the warranty on the hull. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif Other than that like L45 said, how do the options compare. Besides the bigger motor and bigger boat.
I have an SX200 and it fishes as big as any 21' boat I've ever fished from. There is plenty of room for 2 full grown men on the front. Book length is posted as 19' 8" but I have measured my boat at 20' 2". It is also 96" wide. This 03' hull is actually the same mold as the older ZX202 hull, so they say at Skeeter. You won't get all the bells and whistles on the SX200 as you will the ZX190. but I'm not sure they are worth the extra money. I added alot to my boat after buying it,(for not a lot of money) and I feel this is as nice a boat as any on the lake. I traded a 17' Ranger for this boat because I fish on some larger lakes when I travel. (santee and Okechobee) and they both just about swallowed that little Ranger. My boat has the 3.1 EFI Yamaha and it runs great. Top end is 68 mph, gps with me and my 47 gallons of fuel with no walking whatsoever!. I can't say anything negative about the ZX190 because I didn't even consider it . I wanted a boat with at least a 200 hp on it and as close to 20' as I could afford. It is a great fit for me.
ps. I don't think a Jack Plate would help much even if Skeeter would let me.It already has a great hole shot and top end.
Ditto on mwandrews reply.
I also own an sx200 and have no complaints what so ever. Alot of boat/motor for the price. Upgrade the electronics and add on what you would like as you can afford to, like lighted compartments, tackle management, etc etc
I have fished out of sx190's as well and they are also fine boats, but the extra length in hull of the 200 is a better ride if fishing bigger waters.
My .02 cents
I also own the SX 200 great boat would I take a ZX200 yes but not for the price difference I been running mine for 4 years now
Both will be just fine. I have a 04 SX-190 no complaints yet no break downs or been in the shop. Plenty of storage. I have the 150 V-max carb and run 63.3 gps, 25-M yammie pro series prop balanced and blue printed by Mark. This boat is fine for me. Either one of thoses you are looking at are great boats.
Take Care,
Jim
The zx is a better boat the stringer system is stronger. The sx is a good boat;however, the hull is built like the older skeeters. The zx is 100% composit.Compare a zx with a sx of the same size. The zx will also have a better resale value.Stick with the zx and you can't go wrong.
Stick with the zx boat, the zx200 is about $2800 more than the sx200, if your wanting a 200hp boat the zx has all the new features, the sx is a older hull, the zx190 with the 175 has the same features as the zx200 only about a foot shorter and both the 190 and 200 zx models have far more standard features than the sx.
