I have a 2007 175HP E-Tec, on an 8 inch bracket. What should my water pressure be at WOT, I think it's in the 20+ psi range now. It is usually 4~5 at idle?
I know operating range is ~5850 RPM, when does the rev limiter kick in?

Water pressure is good, not sure where the rev limit is, I would guess around 6100 or 6200.
Just a word of warning. The ECU logs all time the engine spends, so if you over rev it, they will know about it.
Thanks,
Concerned about the water pressure more than the rev limit. I have the outboard on a jackplate and I am in the process of testing props. Don't want to kill the engine.
Do not drop below 10 psi at wot and you should be ok. Watch it in turns too. That is usually where I have seen mine drop. Its fine going straight, make a turn, even a sweeping one, and it will drop like a stone.
10 PSI aint gonna get it on that engine. 3-4 @ idle and minimum 15 PSI @ WOT.
Run that engine @ 10 PSI and you'll be sorry.
I do agree that the numbers you posted are right on the money for what you should be seeing.
