Re: MG Troll motor bouncing (DEdwards)
look up rmc boatworks...best thing ever invented to secure ur trolling motors down. all stainless and when it is locked in its solid as a rock. brad is a good guy too! no im not sponsored just a great product
Re: MG Troll motor bouncing (DEdwards)
Other option that I have seen is a BIG Ram mount. The ball end is secured to the front deck and the clamp part to the motor. Since it swivels you will be able to get enough play to line it up and secure the trolling motor w/out remounting.

Re: MG Troll motor bouncing (DEdwards)
Maybe have a machine shop custom made a tube with a bend in it.
Re: MG Troll motor bouncing (DEdwards)
Mine sits on the trim, as yours would, does not seem to have any negative effects. It has been like that for over a year with no problems. Can post pix if it would help.
Re: MG Troll motor bouncing (BOBBER NE)
I turned my bracket over and adjusted the bumper to sit on the cap. The bracket has an offset to it.

Re: MG Troll motor bouncing (DEdwards)
yea thats a problem there, u wouldnt be able to mount the bottom to the floor cause of th clearance. r the all out over the glass like that?
Re: MG Troll motor bouncing (tritonchuck)
I had that on mine too. I used a big ram mount and connected the ball to the silver cross pin. Its the one that has the rope guide on it. Locked it down big time.

I imagine thats what mine would look like too...I just thought it would be a bad spot for the bouncer to ride.
