I'm back again with more questions on my blown 2000 200hp Ficht. The replacement powerhead I found is part # 484764. I'm told by evinrude this is for a 2002 200-225. Will it fit my motor Model E200FPLSSC Serial # G 04731603 ? What if any modifications will I have to make and are they easily doable? The new powerhead is complete and even comes with the air box and reeds. Will these match up for me? How about injectors ect? Thanks again, Carl
It will fit and is doable.
Rusty: You are the man. I was told about the only real hitch might be with how the oil lines hook up. Is this true and what needs to be done to adapt them. Any other modifications or is pretty much just bolt up. How about the injectors? That was one of my major concerns along with the computer. Thanks again as always.

Is this not a dressed powerhead?
He told me it was the complete long block and included the intake manifolds with the reeds even it. Which I guess they usually don't come with. He told me he thought the only difference might be that a couple of the oil lines may be a little different. I just don't want to get it and have to recreate the world to make it work.
I don't think a long block will work since your original motor is a 3.0L and the newer one is a 3.3L engine. The injector mountings are different and the cooling system is completely different.
According to the part # this is a 3.0 litre. But I just talked to Evinrude and they said there would be some linkage changes, and some mods to the airbox, but they also said the oil line changes would probably cause problems with the computer and it would continuously have alarms on. They weren't positive but said it was likely and the only solution would be a newer computer at $1400. Has anyone ever put a 2002 powerhead on a 2000 to know exactly what the story is? Looks like I may be back to rebuild.
As I posted, I spoke out of turn, http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif I thought you were buying a dressed power head which would have all the 3.3 stuff bolted to it, you can not (as Seahorse posted) swap your 3.0 stuff to a 3.3 block, it wont work.
