Took Another GREAT Tour on Friday!

Wow the place looks different compared to the last time I was there! And in a good way. I carried a good friend up who is looking to sell his 19' Bumble Bee and get into a Phoenix. He fished out of mine last year and is now about ready to get in one himself. Mark gave us the $20 tour in contrast to the nickel tour.

We were there almost exactly two hours. We also spent some time with Jeff and Greg talking and looking at some neat things being tested on Greg's boat that are in the works.

What amazes me every time I go up there is that everyone you talk to knows the business and these boats inside and out. And, they actually care and are passionate about it. It's not just a job for them. I've been on tours with Jeff and Mark both, and learn something each time I go through.

There were numerous boats in all stages of completion and a stack of orders waiting to get started. The problem (if you want to call it that) is there are so many customer orders rolling in that boats for dealer stock are really backed up. They had just rolled out a 921 and we also got to check out a 921 that was just having the stripes taped off. That is a big boat.

Anyway, enjoyed the tour and we have sold another person on the Phoenix line. Now he just needs to get his current boat sold and decide which one he wants. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Yeah, he said in another post it had some forklift damage to it. The hull was a mess

If your fishing Gantt next month you've got me whooped already. I can't catch a break on that lake and I will have my lil' boy with me that will be ready to leave by noon. LOL

Hope they get that hull fixed soon!

Dang Eglin won't let me IM you. The river was tough but there were a lot of fish caught. Mostly shorts though. I caught 9 but could only weigh in 2. Michael, greg and a few others caught limits and even culled. I think Michael caught 40 fish but only could produce 11 pounds or so. Not bad for the condition the river is in. Seems current was the key. Most of my bites came on a white fluke or a sexy shad crank bait.

Gantt owns me! I just can't figure it out. A few guys do well there and fish deep; drop shotting.

Mark is awesome, i've been on two of his tours and both were great but his customer service is sticks out to me. He is just a part of the Phoenix Company and they hit a home run with guy...this brews for you buddy http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
