96 150 Check engine light + alarm
See sig for model number and boat. Prop is 3.25 below the pad, engine on a 6 in plate, water pressure solid 25+psi. Getting a check engine light on system check tach, and an alarm at WOT or close to it. Takes a little bit of running, perhaps 30 seconds to get it. WOT RPMS are 5400 or 5500. Pretty much any sustained running over 5k sets the alarm off.
If I drop rpms and slow down, the light shuts off, or if I stop and restart, the light shuts off. Alarm lasts for about 10 to 15 seconds, just a solid tone. I can run for long periods at 4500 or below.
No other lights light up, which would be low oil, no oil, and hot. Tone is the same as low oil, I set that one off the other day as well. One long solid tone.
Any idea's where to start?

You have a restriction in the fuel system some where between the tank and the motor, a good place to start is the anti-syphon valve.

Where/what is that?
I had some trash in the fuel filter, which I cleaned out, and sprayed some engine tuner in the fuel inlet there. When I squeeze the bulb, it shoots fuel a LONG way. Probably 6 feet or so. Nice solid flow.
I like this little motor.

On the elbow on top of the tank.

I will scope that out when I pull the interior out to see what I did to the gas gauge, it was working when I bought the boat, but, not since I ran the cable for the hotfoot.
Took it out tonight and didn't get an alarm, so maybe it was just a semi-clogged fuel filter??? I ran it at WOT for a good couple minutes.
