Do I need to do a break-in on my new gear set? (200 Johnson,99') J200PLEEN

I would suggest you check with the rebuilder.
I dont think the blow out ring will hurt top end.
10-4, they told me to take it easy for the first 3 hours and let the gears mesh!! Got a new gear set and prop shaft installed after a little boo boo I had. Rusty I ment to ask also about the piece that goes on over the prop shaft and rests on the bearing housing between it and the prop hub. This tappered thingamobob is a little roughed up where the inside taper is for the prop shaft. You recon its OK? I may should ask in the prop forum?!?
